New Chapter
hi sisters, 9 may 05 marks the new chapter of my work life. i had a 2 1/2 day orientation. i went to suntec city where the HR is, follow by a plant visit at jurong island. the HR officer, Suezane was a really nice lady, she was friendly and explained all the policy well. then she treated us lunch at country miana. oh btw, the company also employ 2 other new ppl, a guy & a girl (both in e same dept as me), the guy, Desmond just completed his NS and same age as me lah, then the girl, Jiao is 3 yrs younger than me, she just completed her diploma in april, so lucky to get a job so soon. both of them are quite nice, although we only known each other for a week but already chit-chat alot. finally i don't have to go to lunch alone or with a boring aunty. now, i have 4 lunch mates, the 2 new ppl, my supervior and uncle Tommy lah. Desmond already work for a month and Jiao for 2 weeks, so they have shared alot with me. but now i got work experiences liao, not so worry. the ppl over there are all really friendly, from plant manager to dept managers, secretary, sales, my supervisor, my manager, seinors .... alot lah. although only around 40+ ppl, but they are like a one big family. you know on my second day then i go to tuas, i wasn't treated like alien, it turn out the other way, every greated me first, they already know my name, and began to intro themselves. i was so shock, i never had this kind of treatment i my x-company. then Suezane, brought me around the plant, and i shook alot of hands that day. my dept manager also intro me to my dept, including me only 7. i was like in those drama where we stand in a gp, take turns to tell a little about ourself. i don't feel uncomfortable, is like i put on a smile and everybody would greet me back, not like x-company, so cooooldddddddd...
there is someone i want mention, i had to undergo a 1 1/2 day safety training with this guy, Dennis. cause my company very strict with safety, they don't want us to get injured during work or anywhere lah. and the training must be done within the first week of work. so this intensive training was conduted by Dennis, is his third time this 30 days. i had to sit through the lecture throughout alone. so tired and boring and can't take my eyes off the screen cause alone, if like not paying attention, like very rude. but luckily this Dennis, b4 i met him, i thought is another old uncle lah. but turn out to be a younger one (think ard 30+) & also quite good-looking. hehe. so i thought of a way to concetrate on the lecture, is to pay full attention. answer the question he ask and when in doubt, throw him a qn. also don't know why i suddenly dare to speak up leh. at the end of training, i still got a test, i did quite well lah, hope he is impress lah. i appreciate his training.
that all first, istill got alot to write but now very tired liao. i want to go sleep. tmr still have to go to sch early to discuss assignment.
